Forum Description: For over 20 years the Georgia Hospital Operations team has supported hospitals and health facilities throughout the State by training amateur radio operators to deploy to their local facility during emergency and disaster events. Hospital operators meet or exceed ARRL Level 1 proficiency to support facilities by providing auxiliary communications utilizing VHF/UHF, HF, and digital communications capabilities during disasters in the event of loss of communications capabilities (internet, phone, and cellular service) at the affected facility.
This Forum will be an overview of our Hospital Emergency Operations plan and is mandatory training for all hospital operators.
The Georgia Hospital Operations team is the largest hospital and health facility support group in the Nation and currently provides support to over 60 hospitals and healthcare facilities across the State.
