Dr. Gary Pike teaches Computer Science, Software Engineering, RF Engineering, and Aviation. His research focuses on RF Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, and Cyber-Physical Security. Gary has been an active amateur radio operator for decades and enjoys exploring both traditional and digital modes, particularly VOIP systems for amateur radio.
Ham radio is a family affair for Gary. His wife and three sons all hold Extra Class licenses, and the family enjoys attending hamfests to explore new technologies, share experiences, and connect with fellow hams. Gary actively uses Hams Over IP, AllStar, and other digital VOIP platforms to expand communication capabilities beyond traditional RF.
