Packet Networking / TARPN

Presenter:  Don Rotolo N2IRZ

Forum Description:   A Fun Packet Network that Works – TARPN Terrestrial Amateur Radio Packet Network

Whether you are new to the hobby or an old hand, you’ve probably heard about or tried Packet Radio, and perhaps been disappointed. TARPN (Terrestrial Amateur Packet Radio Network) is a network philosophy embodied in a few simple rules, helping create an inexpensive, high-reliability, and low-latency playground for learning, experimentation, and social networking, as well as serving as a useful resource in an emergency. We’re in the early stages of building out a TARPN Packet network in greater Atlanta, and we’re looking for like-minded folks to join us. If this sounds interesting, please come see us on Saturday at noon for our presentation on TARPN, where Don N2IRZ will explain TARPN and answer your questions.
